Tattoo Aftercare

Gently wash your new tattoo with warm water and anti-bacterial soap. Gold dial liquid soap is ideal; however, any bar of soap should be fine. Do not scrub! Be nice to yourself and be gentle.

Pat dry with a clean towel then let it air dry.

Your tattoo needs to breathe so don’t ever cover it again. Try to wear loose clothing when you can.

Simply wash your tattoo for the first 3 days. On the fourth day, you can use a minimal amount of nice unscented lotion. Aveeno or Lubriderm is ideal. Remember, extremely small amounts! Basically, a nonexistent small.

You put on too much if your tattoo is shiny. Wipe the excess off!

Do not use Neosporin, vaseline, or any marketed tattoo aftercare. Once again, just use an extremely small amount of nonscented white lotion.

Your tattoo will scab up. Your tattoo will be healing underneath the scab. Try your best not to pick or scratch at it. Rest assured, if for some reason you bump into something, your dog, or whatever scratches it–don’t trip. I’ll touch it up.

Two major takeaways: Be clean and let your tattoo breathe. It's all about cleanliness and oxygen.
